HILTON HEAD'S TOPTRACER DRIVING RANGE
GAME CHANGER
Palmetto Dunes Resort becomes the first resort on Hilton Head Island, in South Carolina and in the entire southeast to introduce Toptracer Technology, this high tech golf driving range allows guests to compete against friends, play virtual courses and receive instant shot feedback.
ABOUT THE NEW FACILITY
Guests can experience interactive golf entertainment, with the transformation of the Robert Trent Jones golf driving range into a facility powered by Toptracer technology. This technology uses high speed cameras, coupled with sophisticated computer algorithms, to provide instantaneous ball tracking information to guests using the range.
The new Hilton Head driving range facility features 14 hitting bays, one more than previously, plus a VIP area all with high-speed cameras, TV monitors, technology and games. Casual seating is available.
At Palmetto Dunes’ Robert Trent Jones practice facility, the main focus remains meeting the needs of golfers on the tee sheet to warm up before their round. The Toptracer Golf Range technology will only be activated when golfers opt in and pay the additional fee for that service. Read more...

VIRTUAL GOLF
Play some of the world’s greatest golf courses right from your own bay. Individuals and groups can play a full 18 holes without ever having to leave the range. Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill on California’s Monterey Peninsula are two of the courses available.
CLOSEST TO THE PIN
A little friendly competition to get some excitement going in the bay. This game allows friends to compete, while working on their swing.
GO FISH
Play individually or as a team to catch each of the 24 different sea creatures and as many stars as possible.
APPROACH CHALLENGE
Golfers can fine-tune their iron play in this game of nine approach shots on their choice of three legendary courses.
POINTS GAME
This game allows friends to compete for points based on distance from the target and is ideal for people who enjoy a friendly challenge. Guests can even add In-Air bonus rings for an extra challenge.
TopTRACER30
Toptracer30 consists of 30 shots: nine tee shots and 21 approach shots. At the end of the game, an estimated performance handicap, a total game score, and personalized insights are generated that you can use to inform your next practice session.
